Principal's Message
Last Friday we welcomed Archbishop Christopher Prowse to our community as he visited the Parish to meet with many parishioners and to address our students. He was also here to confer the Sacrament of Confirmation on our 11 candidates on Saturday night at the Vigil Mass. The Mass was an important milestone in the faith journey of our Year 6 students when they confirmed their faith in front of their family, friends and the parish. Thank you to Mrs Maxwell, Sr Kathy, Fr Lolesio, Miss Van Kerk Oerle and the Stage 3 teachers for preparing the candidates for the Sacrament. Thank you to Ms Wade and her wonderful little choir members – Emmeline Last, Evie McPherson, Matilda Wray and Aleena Haisall for helping make the Mass extra special.
As we enter the final two weeks of school for Term 2 we will continue to fill the days with lots of learning opportunities and extra-curricula activities. This Friday we will celebrate Sacred Heart Feast Day with Mass followed by whole school House activities. This is a special day to celebrate our wonderful community and the proud traditions upon which our school is built.
Our teachers are very busy at the moment preparing Semester reports that will be available in the final week of the term. All reports will be posted onto the COMPASS platform where all previous and future reports will be stored. Please make contact with the Front Office if you are unable to log onto COMPASS.
Our Primary athletes competed in the Western Region Carnival in Young on Friday. It was magnificent weather and our students conducted themselves with distinction. Our primary girls relay team broke a record and many students will travel onto the next archdiocesan level. More details to follow.
The final day for students for Term 2 will be Thursday 3 July. On the Friday 4 July Teachers will be onsite completing Professional Learning and preparation for Term 3. Students will return for Term 3 on Tuesday 22 July.
Please click here to view a letter regarding the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). Please read carefully as this impacts many of our children on personalised plans.
