We are on the cusp of the penultimate week and we are looking eagerly to the end of term Easter break.
The inclement weather meant that we needed to postpone the Cross Country until Friday 31 March. We are hopeful that the golf course will dry out enough for us to conduct the annual event without destroying the beautiful grounds. More details will be sent out next week.
Don’t forget the P & F Colour Run will also be held next Friday 31 March. This is a wonderful community event that is fun for the whole family. Check out details in the flyer and on our COMPASS news feed. We hope that lots of families will gather to enjoy the evening and have lots of fun at the same time.
Thank you to the parents who came to meet with the teachers at our first evening of Parent/Teacher interviews. It was an invaluable way to get feedback on all things school related – academic progress and behaviour/efforts. Teachers are keen to keep parents informed of successes that are happening but also ways to aid further development. The next opportunity will be next Tuesday 28 March. Please log onto COMPASS to book an interview time and note the messages regarding specific teachers’ availabilities. If you miss out on a session then we encourage you to make an alternative time, at a later date, to meet with your child’s teacher to be informed on how they are progressing at the start of the year. Please ensure that you can log on to COMPASS to access this feature. If you are having difficulties, please contact the school.
At the end of the term we will farewell the wonderful Mrs Bear as she begins her maternity leave. We wish her and her husband Jonathon every blessing and happiness as they begin this new adventure. To fill her place in Stage 1B with her fabulous students will be Mr Ian Bell. Mr Bell has years of experience and is looking forward to working with the students and families. He has been sitting in on the parent teacher interviews so that he gets to know the students and all their learning needs and pathways.
Remember there are always opportunities to be kind. Strive to have the courage to be kind whenever possible.
God Bless
Ms Nicky Trinder
Principal

Opens League Tag
Congratulations to the Year 10 girls who competed in the Opens League Tag competition on Thursday this week in Young. This competition is Years 10-12 students so our girls were competing against some experienced teams. We had some very funny moments and wonderful sportsmanship throughout the day.
In the pool games we had a 4 all draw with Boorowa High School (who went on to win the day), and a 16-0 win against Young High (Blue). On a count back we were placed second in our pool. We placed 4th overall, after our loss to Coota High in the placing finals.

Attendance at Extracurricular Sporting Events
Attending extracurricular sporting events as a Sacred Heart Representative is a privilege not a right. Please be aware that students with poor attendance, behaviour and/or with incomplete tasks and class work will not be allowed to attend these opportunities. For students who are away for any reason or who do attend these opportunities, it is an expectation that missed work is caught up and completed within a reasonable time frame after returning to school.
